Metal-Free Restorations
Today's patients are demanding a different kind of smile - one that's bright, lively, and metal-free. We are answering this demand with Cercon zirconia copings and frameworks and Noritake CZR porcelain "pressed" onto them. With this combination of natural luminescent qualities, light and color come through to produce a mouthful of beautiful restorations.
Cercon is a zirconia-based all-ceramic system that can be prescribed for single units, and bridges with a maximum span of 52mm. With a flexural strength of more than 900MPa it is suitable for the anterior or posterior regions of the mouth.
The only change you will make is what you prescribe, because a standard all-ceramic shoulder and chamfer preparation are recommended (i.e. a proximal reductions of 1.5mm, and an incisal/occlusal reduction of 1.5-2mm). And you can place these restorations with both conventional cementations and adhesive bonding techniques.
